Marcel’s Hair Transplant Journey

Before the Procedure
Marcel is a husband, father, and mental-health nurse working in a correctional facility. Although he had considered different ways to conceal his thinning hair, including wearing a hairpiece, he wanted a permanent and natural-looking solution.

A Hybrid FUE and FUT Procedure
Marcel underwent a hybrid hair transplant combining both FUT and FUE.
Using the two techniques together allowed Dr. Gerbrands to obtain the number of grafts needed while carefully managing Marcel’s donor area. The transplanted follicles were then placed to rebuild his hairline and add density across the areas affected by hair loss.
Marcel admits that he felt nervous before the procedure. However, once he arrived at the clinic, the care and attention from Dr. Gerbrands and the De Haar team helped him relax.

Recovery and Growth
Following the procedure, Marcel carefully followed the clinic’s recovery instructions and remained patient as his new hair began to grow.
Hair transplant results develop gradually. The transplanted hairs initially shed before entering a new growth cycle, with density continuing to improve over the following months.
As Marcel’s results became more visible, the change was not limited to his hair. His confidence returned as well.
